Internship Job Description:

DIRECTOR, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS – FULL TIME POSITION – NOT INTERNSHIP
We are looking for an experienced, energetic and passionate leader who is ready to build a world-class Marketing and Communications function and thus help fuel our company’s growth. Our new Director, Marketing & Communications will help create brand strategies, develop and curate customer facing content, author thought leadership content, engage media outlets, drive brand awareness, and ultimately increase engagement with prospective customers for both existing and future products.

About the Position:

Brand

Work with the senior leadership team to develop and evolve the K4Connect brand and marketing strategy, captured and documented in a plan

Plan and lead K4Connect presence at relevant industry conferences and gatherings

Define and lead the PR, content and communications strategy (working with K4Connect’s PR agency) for the company, as well as for current and future product offerings

Work closely with the company executive management team to position K4Connect and its team as thought leaders in industry

Team with senior leadership to refine and accelerate the company brand and messaging across various market segments and demographics

Content

Drive an innovative communications and PR program that is an integral part of the company’s domestic and global growth strategy

Team with Product Marketing to author, test, and evolve customer facing sales content including one pagers, data sheets, web content, video content and case studies

Author, edit, and optimize all written, video and audio based company content including press releases, bylines, testimonials and websites/blogs

Work cross-functionally with Product and Product Marketing Teams to continue to innovate company and product messaging, advertising and promotion

Media

Establish and execute social media strategy building strong brand awareness and reputation across relevant media outlets

Continue to research, improve understanding, and innovate around ideal communications strategies for reaching older adults, individuals living with disabilities, and caregivers

Engage with external stakeholders, conferences, and the media across various communications channels to progress the mission of the company

Qualifications
Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations and/or Communications

8+ years of Marketing experience in media and communications with a focus on B2B

World-class written and verbal communications skills including experience writing all types of PR communication in digital/social/advertising settings

Experience building, managing and improving sales related marketing assets to drive brand awareness/consistency while enhancing the sales process

Proficiency building and executing industry event engagement strategies including speaking opportunities, exhibit booths and other activation strategies focused on building brand and driving lead generation

Demonstrated experience planning, executing and measuring best of class PR strategies and objectives

Other Qualifications:

Comfortable working in a startup environment with a willingness to participate beyond the core job responsibilities

Excellent communication skills

Creative and innovative

Risk tolerant, willing to give ideas a try (then try again)

Strong personality, willing to push forward ideas while being a team player
