Internship Job Description:
Internship responsibilities may include: Data logging, tissue/cells processing (human and animal/rodent), prepping tissue for analysis, cell culture, and likely compiling data for reports. This position will allow for exposure to translational research and R&D activities.
This internship requires a commitment of 25 hours per week over 12 weeks, and is available starting in May.
This internship is supported in part by a grant from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center through the Industrial Internship Program.
Start/ end dates are flexible, depending on applicant availability
This posting is open to undergraduate or graduate level with a background/interest in science.

Some experience/comfort in physical science laboratory setting
Must be comfortable/ willing to handle tissues/cells from both human and animal sources (appropriate training will be provided/mandatory). No experience required, but preferred
Knowledge of and experience working with biologically-derived ECM, polymers, and/or biocompatible materials is desirable. Not experience required, but preferred.
