Internship Job Description:

The Startup Services Intern, who reports to the Senior Director of Operations, is the key liaison between the startups in our MassChallenge Texas Accelerator, MassChallenge staff, and the community at large. Your job is to make sure each of our startups have a Ritz Carlton-like customer service experience and are able to get what they need from the MassChallenge Texas programs. Although everyone at MassChallenge has the mission of “Help entrepreneurs win”, you will live and breathe this motto through your day to day work! We are a small team getting a lot done! If you want a challenging and rewarding role in the center of the startup ecosystem, this opportunity is for you!

Day-to-day, the Startup Services Intern is the point person for all inbound inquiries from our startups during the program. In addition to providing day-to-day support, the coordinator will also funnel all requests that are outside of scope to the appropriate teammate and will take an active approach in resolutions.

What You’ll Do
Customer Service

Serve as the point-person on the MassChallenge team for customer service.
Provide logistical support to non-local teams participating in the program in advance of their arrival, and during their stay.
Curate a high-caliber day-to-day experience for startups.
Field requests for support from participating startups, and act on them efficiently and effectively with input and guidance from the rest of the MassChallenge Texas team.
Source deals and discounts to serve the needs of the startups.
Startup Support

Work closely with the Sr Director of Operations to build, design and apply efficient startup support systems during the accelerator.
Manage room setup and A/V recordings of all classroom sessions.
Help to update startup databases and maintain engagement and KPI reports.
Support the Sr Director of Operations in connecting accelerating startups to the MassChallenge Texas alumni network and guide them in making the most valuable matches to our former startups and entrepreneurs.
Support the Sr Director of Operations in keeping MassChallenge alumni updated on opportunities in the MassChallenge network.
