Internship Job Description:
Our Product Development Team is seeking a User Experience Research Intern for Summer 2020 to work with us as we refine our existing products and begin new, large scale projects. At Meyers, you’ll learn how to work in a dynamic, start-up style environment working with various stakeholders from the Product Team to the CEO.
In this role, you will work with to create delightful, user-focused models that are in line with our brand and vision. You’ll support the Product team in improving product design with simple, yet impactful ideas for the product suite.
The ideal candidate is flexible, creative, curious, has excellent communication skills, passionate about customer focused design, comfortable in a flat, dynamic organization, and excited to collaborate with cross-functional team. You’ll help us conduct best-in-class research in order to better deliver on our Product objectives.

Work with Product to understand key design requirements based on goals of product and company brand.
Create designs based off Product requirements and best practices
Conduct practical, impactful research throughout the entire product cycle.
Gather insights about customers and developers from a variety of research methods, including surveys, interviews, diary studies and usability studies.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative results and convey those insights to the Product Team
Type and Timing of Internship:
Costa Mesa, CA (Remote available)
Recently graduated or pursuing a BFA or Bachelors Degree in psychology, business, communication, marketing, human factors or similar
Or, equivalent years of experience in work
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills across platforms as we are a distributed company
Ability to clearly and concisely convey ideas and recommendations
Tools: Proficient with Design tools (Figma, Invision, etc.)
Understanding of tracking tools (JIRA)
Ability to create mocks/wireframes/prototypes, accept feedback, and adjust mocks as we move through lifecycle
Passionate about the intersection of user experience, design, business, marketing, and data
Extraordinary organizational skills and meticulous eye for detail
Strong listening and analytical skills
