Internship Job Description:

To support our mission, we are looking to hire a Fundraising & Social Impact Intern. The Fundraising & SocialImpact intern will report directly to the Director of Development and will provide essential research andassistance in raising funds to cover Five | Six Project’s operating budget, including programs and administrative costs. Fundraising & Social Impact Interns will be responsible for researching funding sources including foundations, corporations, and private enterprises and individuals. They will also help prepare, edit,and record grant applications and supporting materials, with some database entry required.


We are looking for someone interested in non-profit fundraising for the arts and socially-oriented business models of the future.Skill requirements include:●Excellent verbal and written communication.●Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.●Experience with online research tools and Google Suite.●This position is remote so the intern must possess an ability to be a self starter and act proactively.●Strong interest in global art and design and socially oriented business models of the future.

Responsibilities include assisting with:

●Researching foundations, organizations,and corporate sources of funding.●Researching potential private donors and other potential sources of funding.●Researching new fundraising markets and opportunities.●Drafting grant applications and compiling supporting documents.●Maintaining our grant calendar to reflect new applications.●Adding contacts to our donor database


You will design your own schedule with the Development Coordinator to meet necessary deadlines. The intern should be flexible and is expected to contribute five to ten hours per week.


A Five | Six Project internship is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a start-up global nonprofit. It offers an introduction to the non-profit art world and can provide meaningful professional development to a committed and motivated individual. School credit can be provided.

Job Type:

Volunteer Internship, remote, can be anywhere in the USA. Three – six month contract.

Experience:Some experience in fundraising research is preferred
but not required.
