Internship Job Description:

The Innovate Carolina team is hiring a Special Advisor, who will report to Kennetha Davis, Executive Assistant to Vice Chancellor Dr. Tommy Sowers, Office of Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Economic Development. The Special Advisor will contribute to Innovate Carolina by:

• Attend to the front desk greeting and assisting guests, responding to inquiries and directing them to the appropriate person
• Handling incoming and outgoing calls, mail and packages
• Supporting the Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor
• Maintaining confidentiality, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills
• Assist in special projects assigned by the Vice Chancellor for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Dr. Tommy Sowers.

Highly Qualified Candidates will have:

• Friendly demeanor or previous customer service experience
• Some experience with Microsoft office and excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, planning and multitasking abilities
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
